I chose to capture this image because I admire the
architecture and colour that went into this stain glass window. The centre
design looks three dimensional this gives it a unique characteristic which
makes it differ from other glass windows. Stain glass windows are interesting
because they tell a story, artists can express themselves when painting this
creates a sentimental value. The light
which can be seen in the top left corners is bright compared to the opposite
angle which is dull, this variation in light a contrast and it also
demonstrates the effect light has on colour by showing people the different
shades of colour from the top o this image to the base.
The lines within the picture are detailed and it has a
delicate flowing effect. The lines all originate from the centre base it then guides
you throughout the entire image, the tones are subtle and relaxing, and it
reflects nature. Furthermore the flowing lines help create elongated shapes
which reflects the wilderness. The colours are vibrant but not overwhelming it
creates a calming and soft feel.
This image inspired me because of its imperfections, the
smashed window has created dramatic and bold lines. It contains a wide variety of shapes which
are angular and curvaceous this creates a detailed image. The colours are pale
and cold the only eye catching area is the black border it attracts people. The patterns are also symmetrical this gives
the image a particular theme which is simple and bold.
This stained glass window inspired me through tis use of
floral patterns, the overall colour and pattern represent summer. It has a
unique uplifting effect on the viewer, the contrast is very strong this
contradicts the overall theme. Leading lines are created by sunlight passing
through the window, the texture feels grainy.
This image is a reflection against a window, I enjoy viewing
it because it contains distorted shapes which make it look like it was shot
using a slow shutter speed. The blue fence helps create a consistent colour
theme throughout the image the only conflicting area is the bright yellow foreground,
but I prefer to have the bright yellow colour because I could use it to my advantage
by using it to attract people.
This
building caught my attention because it contains a consistent pattern, this
creates a symmetrical image, I also believe that having a consistent theme can
have a soothing and relaxing effect on the viewers furthermore the purple and
pink colours create an overall harmonising theme. Moreover the drain pipe which can be seen running throughout
the centre of the image create leading lines which guide the viewer.
This
image inspired me through its use of detail, there is a wide range of objects
scattered throughout the image, this is great because it retains the viewers’
attention for a long period of time it keeps them occupied and
entertained. Furthermore the landscape
format allows the viewer to capture a vast amount of objects, the angle is
perfect this helps create an even and balanced image. The tree trunks add
leading lines because I t guides the viewer vertically through the image this
allows the artist to add emphasis to every area of the image, moreover the tree
trunks create contrast to an overall vibrant image this is useful when creating
an eye catching image
The feature that stands out on this image is the colour
theme, it is extremely vibrant and eye catching. The rectangular window acts as
a void sucking you into the centre of the image. Due to the bland background the viewer is
forced to look into the centre.
This image is relaxing and calm, it represents nature and
wildlife, the two birds which can be seen in the centre harmonise with the
background this makes the viewer look closely to find the birds, I believe this
technique creates a stimulating image because it makes people think. The red
bush which is in the bottom left corner conflicts with the rest of the image it
look as though it has been photoshopped into he image but this also shows the
inconsistencies within nature.
