Image 1
This image contains harmonious colour
tones, I chose this technique because it enhances the aesthetic theme of the
image, because there are no conflicting colour tones the image contains a soft
and calm atmosphere. One of the sweets contains a rainbow pattern this ads
detail it makes the image more interesting and fun. The frame contains many
shapes that are curvaceous, angular and dramatic take the heart for example it
represents a love for deserts and it contains leading lines which draw the
viewer towards my image.

I shot this at a close angle because I
wanted to capture the detail within the rose, it is very detailed and the
texture is smooth and soft it shows how delicate the rose really is, the green
and yellow go well together the contrast is not too strong but it allows me to
attract people. I shot the image at high angle to allow me to play with scale
the rose and hearts look much larger than reality this plays with he viewers
mind. Furthermore the white plate and background helps bring out the vibrant
colours it allows me to place more emphasis on my subjects.

This image contains the same subjects as
image one the only aspect which has changed is the angle I shot it at a high
angle compared to image one which was shot at a bird’s eye view, this angle
allows me to capture the cold texture on the Hearts for example look at the
frost which has grown on the side on the heart it reflects a cold and icy
winters day. The foreground also contains flowers and bright colours to merge
with the main aim of this desert which is to entice and attract viewers. I used
spot metering which is ideal when capturing still life shots this allowed me to
create a frame effect around my subject it dims the background to add more emphasis
on my subjects.
Image 13
I placed a coconut flavoured ice cream
within a coconut because both subjects relate to each other, I also believe it reflects
a hot Caribbean day with a melting ice cream this persuades and urges the
viewer to eat ice cream. Moreover I used depth of field to blur the surroundings
this effect adds more emphasis to the coconut and it also creates a frame. The
colours are earthy and natural it makes the viewer feel conformable.
