I decided to change my
project theme from my original idea which was abstract of Nature and
wood to still life of flowers. The reason for changing my Aesthetic
theme was because still life of flowers had more to offer in terms of
depth, colour and shapes. Moreover I consider focusing my project of
one specific area of nature rather than nature as a whole because I
think nature as a whole is too vast it would be difficult to create a
consistent and patterned theme. If I focus all my time on flowers I
would be more profitable in terms of harmonising themes and effects.
My final digital images
will be based on a Colour Popping effect so shooting still life will
allow me to get the right compositions that will work well with
colour popping. Flowers also contain vibrant colour tones that will
create contrasting images when using colour popping.
Flowers will also allow
me to carry out photo shoots in a wide variety of locations including
parks, flower shows and gardens. I have also viewed potential
locations such as Lister park within Bradford and Tropical World in
Leeds.
Working with flowers
will also allow me to create my own designs within a studio
environment, for example I could combine different types of flowers
together in bouquets, or I could use other objects that harmonise
with the type of flower I am using E.g. blue bells placed in a dark
blue vase.
I will complete four
shoots, colour and black and white images within Lister Park and
indoors.
I have researched
famous Nature Photographers such as Charlie Waite and David Muench, I
believe their images makes viewers feel relaxed and calm, it creates
a soothing and inspiring effect. My target audience will be aimed at
teenager and adults who will use my image for decorations and
displays within galleries.
