Planning task – studio shoot
Time and date
16-1-15
12:30pm – 14:00
Style
I am going to emulate a 1930s prohibition gangster, props I
will be using are a;
·
Black suit
·
White shirt
·
Black tie
·
Black Trilby hat with white stripes
·
Fake
cigar
I will also create a slick side parting hairstyle with Pomade,
Time frame
15 minutes – for the model to get dressed and style his hair.
15 minutes – To organize equipment and set up for use
2:00 hours – To experiment with
different poses and lighting
Lighting
I will be
using hard light within my images the reason for this is to try and create an
evil and mysterious theme, Hard light will also allow me to add shadows one
advantage of this is I am able to hide parts of my image for example one effect
I will create is to illuminate one side of my models face with a light source
coming from the side of the frame.
This
is a perfect example of the kind of effect I want to emulate, it contains a mysterious
and cunning vibe, and the tones are warm and rich. The overall image contains
eye contact, leading lines and contrasting tones.
I have
previously experimented with lighting during the past few weeks I have an idea
of the kinds of poses I will experimenting with but mostly my shoot will be
trail and error based.
Health and safety
One of the
main safety risks in the studio is being electrocuted by lighting equipment, I
have made Health and Safety risk assessment form, I will make sure all health
and safety rules are followed.
During the
photo-shoot there will also be a Member of staff present in case of any
injuries.
Goals and Plans for Implementation
The main aim of this
photo-shoot is similar to my location images but I will try to add warm colour
tones amongst a hard light source. The advantage of working in a studio is
being able to control light conditions I will experiment with a wide range of
poses and positions to produce the best shadows and tones.
