• David Muench
David Muench is an American photographer, who was inspired by his father who was also a photographer. As a teenager he helped his father by modelling for him and printing his images. He produced his first images while still at college. His education consists of photography and art at the Rochester school of Technology in New York and Los Angeles school of art. His work has been exhibited in numerous art shows and galleries such as sanata Barbara Museum of Art, Phoenix Art Museum and Museum of Northern Arizona.

• Charlie Waite was born in 1949 he is one of Britain’s most famous photographers. He was originally an actor but an interest in photography kindled by his father drove him to pursue a career in photography. He left his acting career to capture the drama of the natural world. The lighting of the stage set influenced his approach to landscape photography. Today Charlie’s time is divided between running field trips, lectures and taking pictures. He has 22 books to his name including (Developing Style) and (Seeing Landscapes) in 2007.

• Bridget Riley
ridget riley – born 24 April, 1931 in Norwood England She Is an English painter known for creating op art. She studied at the royal college of art in (1952 – 55) riley graduated with a BA degree. Between 1958 and 1959 she worked for an advertising agency she used pointillist technique to create her work. During the 1960s she adopted her own unique style consisting of black and white geometric patterns. Riley worked in many art schools Loughborough School of art 1959, Hornsey College of art and Croydon College of art 1962 – 64.riley also exhibited in the museum of modern art in New York City.

• Andy Warhol
Andy Warhol – was an American artist born august 6th, 1928 Pittsburgh Pennsylvania united states, died February 22, 1987 aged 58. He was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as Pop art. In the 1950s Warhol gained fame for his drawings of shoe advertisements he also designed album covers and promotional materials with Sid Maurer another freelance artist. Andy Warhol used the silk screening method print making process. In the 1960s he held exhibitions at the Hugo gallery and bodley gallery in New York City and California.

• Cindy Sherman
Cindy Sherman was born January 19, 1954) She is an American photographer and film director. Cindy became interested in visual arts while studying at Buffalo state college, where she began painting. She became frustrated with painting and later abandoned it and took up photography. Sherman works in series, typically photographing portraits of herself in a range of costumes.to create her photographs Sherman shoots alone in her studio. Cindy’s first solo exhibition in New York was presented at a non-commercial space called the kitchen in 1980. Sherman has since participated in many exhibitions such as SITE Santa Fe (2004) and Venice Biennale (1982 – 1995). In the early 1990s Sherman worked with Minneapolis (band Babes in Toyland) providing photographs for album covers Sherman also worked as a film director her first film was (Office Killer) in 1997. Sherman’s career included several fashion designs in 1983 and 1991. Fashion designer Dianne Robinson commissioned Sherman to create a series of advertisements for her store.

• Ansel Adams
Ansel Adams was born on February 20 1902 in San Francisco United States he was a photographer and conservationist. At an early age Ansel was interested in nature he collected bugs and explored baker beach which lies on the shore of the Pacific Ocean. His first photograph was taken in Yosemite Valley, California in 1916 but he decided to start a photography career in 1930 the majority of his images include landscapes between 1941 and 1942.
Ansel was a follower of straight photography he showed great enthusiasm for photography sometimes he used to work for up to 18 hours a day. He is admired for his efforts to preserve the nature through photography and was awarded the presidential Medal of Freedom the nation’s highest civilian honor, by president jimmy carter.

• Galen Rowell
Galen Rowell was raised in California, he enjoyed climbing mountains and exploring nature, he began taking photographs as a way of opening up his friends and family. He became full time photographer after he sold his small business; his first major assignment was for National Geographic. His work is very popular because it has an emotional connection with his subjects. In 1984 he received the Ansel Adams award for his contributions to landscape photography. In the last twenty-five years of his life he travelled to mountains ranges across the globe such as:
Nepal, Pakistan, China, Tibet, and Alaska. Moreover he also completed the highest ascent and descent of a mountain in western china named Mustagh Ata.
